Ha pubblicato i suoi reportage fotografici su magazine nazionali e internazionali e da alcuni anni si dedica solo a progetti personali. La sua ricerca lo ha portato spesso a raccontare le storie e le frontiere europee, Balcani e spazio post-sovietico in primis. E\u2019 membro dell\u2019agenzia Contrasto. Molti dei suoi lavori sono diventati libri: Kiev, Ucraina (2005), Kosovo, incertezze e sogni (2009), Assalto al moro (2012), Offida, sacra e profana (2014), Verde Cortina (2014) e Mare Corto (2018) con Matteo Tacconi. Nel 2011 e nel 2016 \u00e8 stato tra i finalisti del Premio Amilcare Ponchielli. Nel 2020 ha insegnato fotogiornalismo alla scuola di letteratura e fotografia Jack London.
