Il confronto con la memoria storica ha portato l&#8217;artista a riflettere sul concetto di tempo. Ha rielaborato una grande versione luminosa di un orologio il cui aspetto \u00e8 quello di una scultura astratta, composta da cerchi (le ore) e elementi lineari rossi (le decine di minuti) e verticali bianchi (le unit\u00e0 dei minuti). La ripetitivit\u00e0 delle variazioni spinge chi guarda a indagare sui motivi dei cambiamenti. L\u2019artista usa molteplici forme di espressione artistica. Tema centrale della sua opera \u00e8 il concetto di trasformazione. Sperimenta processi percettivi e cognitivi sulla temporalit\u00e0. Afferma \u201cI titoli hanno molto a che fare con la genesi delle mie opere\u201d, infatti con l&#8217;opera <em>Quello che ami ti fa anche piangere<\/em> (premio Leone d&#8217;Oro 2009 alla Biennale di Venezia) ha allestito una caffetteria utilizzando un complesso schema di forme geometriche dazzle camouflage, che veniva utilizzato in ambito militare durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale per rendere navi e aerei obiettivi difficili da colpire. Da luogo confortante e di ristoro, complici gli specchi, diventa spazio pubblico spiazzante che pu\u00f2 generare cambiamenti di visione.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>?? The debate of the historical memory led the artist to mediate about the concept of time. He conceived a large luminous version of a clock that looks like an abstract sculpture, composed of circles (hours), linear elements in red (tens of minutes) and vertical elements in white (minutes). The repetitiveness of the variations pushes the viewer to wonder the reason of the changes. Rehberger uses multiple forms of artistic expression. The recurrent theme of his work is the concept of transformation. He experiences perceptual and cognitive processes about the passage of time. He says: &#8220;The titles explain very well the genesis of my works&#8221;. In fact, in the work What you love makes you cry (2009 Golden Lion Award at the Venice Biennale), he sets up a cafeteria using a complex pattern of geometrical shapes, known as \u2018dazzling camouflage\u2019, which was used during the Great War to make it difficult to strike ships and planes.
