?? Trae ispirazione dall’opera Kunst = Kapital (Arte = Capitale) di Joseph Beuys che a sua volta rilegge la teoria di Marx. Beuys sostiene che la creatività di ciascun individuo è fonte di ricchezza per la collettività e Jaar riprende questo concetto ampliandolo ed estendendolo a tutti i settori della cultura. L’artista è un attento osservatore della realtà, capace di soffermare lo sguardo sulle situazioni economiche, politiche, sociali, e di approfondirle nel suo lavoro artistico in equilibrio tra ricerca etica ed estetica. Le opere pubbliche nascono dall’esigenza di supportare e segnalare momenti di alcune realtà territoriali di cui Jaar studia, vive, respira, percepisce caratteristiche e problematiche.

?? Culture = Capital is inspired by the work of Kunst = Kapital (Art = Capital) by Joseph Beuys, which reviews Marx’s theory. Beuys argues that the creativity of each individual is a source of wealth for the community, and Jaar takes back this concept by spreading it to all the cultural sectors. Jaar is a keen observer of reality, able to focus on economic, political and social situations. He deepens these circumstances in his artistic work establishing a harmony between ethical and aesthetic research. His public works rise from his need to support and report situations of some territorial realities in which Jaar studies, lives, breathes, and of which he perceives singularities and problems.
