??“(…) sono particelle elementari emesse dal Sole che investono la terra, un concetto scientifico scaturito dalla mente di un astronomo e giunto a me (…). Compongo ritagli di luce e di cielo che ho fra le mani. Luce che evoca icone altrimenti non percepibili, opposte al suono rauco di Tenebra ed Abisso.” Artista e didatta, non faceva solo arte, educava all’arte, coinvolgendo attivamente il territorio e la scuola, condividendo e insegnando quella manualità con la quale trasformare i materiali poveri – come il legno da lui prediletto – e poco costosi in oggetti artistici. Suoi sono i volumi: «Guida al gioco creativo con la carta, il legno, la creta» e «Proposta vegetale per la scuola d’obbligo». È autore inoltre di svariate macchine-gioco ispirate al mondo degli animali e allestite all’aperto (Parco Michelotti e a Superga).

I illustrate cuttings of light and sky that I hold in my hands. The light evokes icons not perceptible otherwise, which are opposed to the hoarse sound of Darkness and Abyss.” Nervo was not only an artist, he was also an art teacher. He was actively getting the territory and the schools to work together, while sharing and teaching the manual skills necessary to transform poor materials into artistic objects. He wrote the books: Guida al gioco creativo con la carta, il legno, la creta (Guide to creative games with paper, wood and clay) and Proposta vegetale per la scuola d’obbligo (Vegetal Proposal for Compulsory Education). Also, Nervo is the author of several outdoor playgrounds inspired by the animal world that can be found in Parco Michelotti and Piazzale Superga.
