Quarantadue disegni di Giordano Bruno, tratti dal libro “Articuli 160 adversus mathematicos”, sono proiettati sulla pavimentazione della piazza, coprendola quasi fossero dei tappeti in una Moschea. La produzione grafica di Giordano Bruno è qui ripresa dall’artista per sottolineare il valore conoscitivo e simbolico delle immagini. Vuole indurre nello spettatore stati d’animo e sensazioni fortemente emotivi con effetto incantatorio e seducente, mediante l’uso simultaneo di immagini e testi – con riferimenti culturali alla letteratura, al cinema e alla storia dell’arte – suoni, fonti luminose e oggetti di uso quotidiano.

?? Forty-two drawings by Giordano Bruno, selected from the book Articuli 160 adversus mathematicos, are projected onto the pavement of the square, covering it as if they were carpets in a mosque. Giordano Bruno’s graphic production is used here by the artist to underline the cognitive and symbolic value of the images. Airò wants to arouse emotions in the audience, while provoking stirring feelings with an enchanting and seductive effect. He accomplishes it by the simultaneous use of images and texts (containing many cultural references to literature, cinema, and art history), sounds, light sources and everyday objects.
