?? Una moltitudine di triangoli colorati sovrasta le teste dei passanti. Sembrano immaginari alberi di Natale o alberi della cuccagna, ma ricordano anche la leggerezza e il volo degli aquiloni. Sono le Vele che Are ha creato per navigare nel mare della fantasia, realizzate con frammenti di plexiglass fluorescenti inseriti su un telaio metallico con rete. L’artista ha sempre lavorato a stretto contatto con le avanguardie torinesi. Le sue opere sono spesso assemblaggi di materiali naturali e di recupero, quali tronchi d’albero, rocce e oggetti di uso quotidiano, per questo è vicino sia all’Arte Povera che al Nouveau Réalisme francese degli anni Settanta.

?? A sea of colorful triangles flies over the heads of the passers-by. They look like imaginary Christmas trees or grease poles, while recalling the lightness and the flight of kites. These are the open Sails that Are has conceived to navigate towards the Fantasy Sea. The work is made from fragments of fluorescent acrylic glass set on a metal mesh inside the frame. Are has always worked surrounded by the avant-garde artistic trends of Turin. Most of the time, his works of art are assemblages of natural and recycled materials, such as tree trunks, rocks and everyday objects. For this reason, his style could be described as an amalgamation of Arte Povera and the French Nouveau Réalisme of the 70’s.
